Meanwhile, the ANC’s NGC has resolved to take a firm stance on access to land for women and former Mkhonto we Sizwe (MK) soldiers that fought for the ANC during the struggle for liberation…The party’s Land Reform Commission says access to land for women is still largely patriarchal with a strong dependence on husbands and family members.
The use of South Africa’s land for agricultural purposes came into sharp focus during last night’s commission where the 50/50 ownership principal for farms was also debated.
