Foreign agricultural land ownership clarified

The long-term leaseholds which will be available to foreigners for agricultural land will be for a minimum of 30 years, Rural Development and Land Reform Minister Gugile Nkwinti said on Tuesday.
Mr Nkwinti provided this clarification after President Jacob Zuma’s announcement in his state of the nation address that foreigners will in future be banned from owning agricultural land.
