Durban – A company that owns a Ballito property earmarked for a R30 billion project has approached the Durban High Court to stop an “unlawful land grab” by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
Judge Fikile Mokgohloa on Tuesday granted an interim order against the party, giving it until May 7 to oppose the order and provide reasons why it should not be made final.
The application was brought by Greenlands Farm (Pty) Ltd, which owns the more than 800ha property alongside the N2 north freeway just before the Ballito turn-off.
Since Sunday, people have been arriving there in droves.
